Seine Filmkarriere hatte ihn in den 60s bis dahin mehr oder weniger von der Musik-Bühne ferngehalten, und was noch wichtiger war : er sah in 68 besser aus und klang besser als jemals zuvor. Die weltweiten Verkäufe der gleichnamigen DVD mit 600.000 units seit 2004 zeigen deutlich, wie einflußreich und wichtig diese Show auch heute noch für die Fans ist. 2008 feiert das Konzert den 40. Geburtstag, zu diesem Anlaß wird erstmals das komplette Konzert als 4-CD-Box angeboten -
